Programs at the CLC
The Career Learning Center is the foundation of all training for all Summers PHC employees. These are our four core offerings, but there is a lot more to explore once you are part of our family

Certified HVAC Technician
Your career will start with
HVAC 101
In as little as six weeks, you'll be a certified maintenance technician for the upcoming season. After you've had some time in the field, you'll return to us for part two.

Later in your career, you'll attend
HVAC 201
This 2-4 week add-on will help you become a certified service technician

Certified HVAC Installer
Your career will start with
HVAC 111
Installing new equipment is a different skillset entirely from HVAC service. You'll learn how to get started in as little as three weeks.

Later in your career. you'll attend
HVAC 211 and HVAC 311
These advanced courses will teach you how to properly size equipment and ductwork. You will learn the essential tools for leading a team

Certified Plumbing Technician
Your career will start with
Plumbing 101
Initially, this program will prepare you to be a plumbing helper. In August, those in Indiana will also join one of the state-mandated apprenticeship programs as a First Year Apprentice.

You will spend 4 years as a plumbing apprentice, during which the state-mandated program will be augmented with hands-on training at the CLC. Each year, you will become a certified plumbing technician level 1, 2, 3, or 4.

At the end, you will take your test to become a licensed plumber
